The massive sail area is expertly balanced by a deep keel fin and precision lead ballast, making this boat exceptionally stable—and virtually impossible to capsize. Whether you are navigating a gentle breeze or a strong wind, the T47 stays perfectly upright, offering a balanced and graceful sailing experience. Its classic mahogany plywood hull, finished with cedar gunnel rails, provides the authentic look of a historic vessel in a manageable 47-inch length.

An Engaging Build & Easy Operation

Getting your T47 on the water is simple. Once rigged—a process that typically takes just two minutes—you are ready to sail. The radio controller allows you to adjust all four sails simultaneously with the flick of a finger, giving you total control.

Our wooden RC sailboat kits are designed for a rewarding building experience. The hull is constructed from pre-cut 1/8-inch mahogany plywood pieces that fit together seamlessly. We include high-strength marine epoxy, which is both incredibly durable and remarkably easy to use, ensuring your model boat lasts for generations.

What’s Included in Your T47 Kit

Everything you need to build and sail your T47 is included in the box (excluding AA batteries).

• Hull & Deck: Pre-cut 1/8-inch mahogany plywood pieces.

• Precision Hardware: High-quality brass and stainless steel fittings.

• Rigging & Sails: Spectra rigging lines, wood masts/booms, and ¾ oz. Nylon Spinnaker cloth sails (available in white or black).

• Marine Supplies: Marine-grade epoxy, brushes, and mixing syringes.

• Radio Gear: Full RC kit, including transmitter, receiver, battery box, and high-performance rudder and sail servos.

• Ballast: Keel ballast casting.

• Support: Detailed, easy-to-follow building instructions.

Recommended for builders ages 15+ (or 12+ with adult supervision). For sailing, we suggest ages 8 through adult.
