WindRacer

The Tippecanoe Boats WindRacer is a colorful and nautical piece of garden art that consists of two 11-inch sailboats mounted on a stainless-steel rod. The bright and colorful sails catch the wind and make the boats spin, chasing each other. The force of the wind can be determined by the speed the WindRacer is spinning. In a gentle breeze the WindRacer spins around peacefully, but in a squall the WindRacer moves with all the excitement of the wind.

The WindRacer is crafted from the finest materials including solid brass fittings, durable western red cedar hulls, a stainless-steel mounting rod, and stainless-steel mounting hardware. The sails are cut from 1-1/2 oz nylon spinnaker cloth – the same material a big 50-foot boat would use for the heavy air spinnaker. Each WindRacer includes two full sets of sails (4 sails total) for years of use.

This wonderful addition to your garden, deck, pool, or dock comes as a kit with all the materials you will need to put it together in just a few minutes. The kit is available either varnished or unvarnished. On the varnished WindRacer kit the hulls and crossbar come fully varnished with 3 coats of durable marine polyurethane varnish. The unfinished kit comes with the hulls and crossbar already sanded and ready for you to paint or varnish.
